  • You’ll stay in a mix of comfortable 3–4 star hotels, boutique mountain lodges, and traditional teahouses. All are family-friendly, clean, and well-located, with private rooms and Western-style bathrooms wherever possible. Jungle lodges in Chitwan offer a more immersive nature experience. In most cases family rooms are used but in some instances the only available option may be twin rooms.
  • This is a gentle adventure, designed with families in mind. The only trekking involved is a 2–3 hour walk to Ghandruk, which is suitable for most healthy children and parents. All other activities are light, and there are ample rest days built into the itinerary.
  • Daily breakfasts are included throughout, along with all meals in Chitwan and a welcome dinner in Kathmandu. The food is tasty, varied, and child-friendly, with plenty of familiar options like rice, noodles, soups, bread, and fruit available at most stops.
  • Nepal is a welcoming country, and we’ve designed this itinerary to avoid high altitudes and physically demanding hikes. All guides are trained professionals, accommodation is vetted, and transportation is in private, licensed vehicles.
  • You’ll travel in private, air-conditioned vehicles with your group for all road transfers. These are comfortable and safe, and travel times are kept reasonable with frequent stops. The itinerary also includes short walks, a cable car ride, and boating—all at a family-appropriate pace.
  • No specialist equipment is needed. Comfortable walking shoes, a daypack, water bottle, sun hat, and layers are ideal. You won’t need sleeping bags or technical gear as accommodation is provided in lodges with basic bedding.
  • Yes! Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and other dietary needs can be accommodated—just let us know in advance. Nepalese hospitality is very accommodating, and many meals are prepared fresh to order.
  • Absolutely. While the itinerary is well-planned, we understand that every family is different. You’re welcome to skip or modify activities depending on energy levels, interests, or even just the mood that day. Your guide will help adjust plans where possible.
