Brac Holidays

Brac is a Croatian island in the Adriatic sea. Brac lies just west of Split on the southerly side of the Croatian coast. Brac is one hours ferry ride from the mainland.

You'll arrive in Brac by boat. You'll either board a ferry in Split or Dubrovnik or you'd hire a private transfer by speedboat from Split.

The ferry crossing from Split is one hour each way and costs 5 euro's per person at the time of writing.

You can travel to Split from the UK on one of many direct flights from many airports.

Flights are more frequent during the months May through to October during the holiday season.

The capital and largest town in Brac is Supetar, this is where the main ferry port is but do bear in mind, it's still quite small!

There are many coastal villages and small towns around Brac. The island boasts a lot of places to stay from luxury five star resorts to boutique boltholes and secluded bed and breakfasts.

In terms of Brac, the weather is the same as the mainland on the southerly side of the Adriatic coast.

The holiday season runs from May through to October with July and August being the hottest months with temperatures hitting around thirty degrees Celsius.

The months November through to March are the 'low' season when there are fewer flights and many facilities, resorts and places to stay are closed.

We recommend visiting between May and October, unsurprisingly!

Brac boasts some of the best beaches in Croatia.

Upon arriving and maybe staying in Supetar, there are a number of small beaches near by. However, if you're looking for an iconic beach look no further than the village / resort of Bol and Zlatni Rat, also known as golden beach.

Golden Beach is not only one of the best in Croatia but one of the most iconic in the med. Back by pine trees and with glorious clear waters, you can easily spend a number of days here.

Brac also has many more small beaches all around the coast from sand to rock to pebble beaches. You can quite easily find your own hideaway for a day or two.
